David, you are quite right of course!

Friedrich's money bought him a trip back to Germany to get a wife, and then back to NY where he started what became the family business of development, building and getting money from other people.

I read somewhere that he left the Yukon with US$500,000 .............. I wonder how much that would be worth now?????????????

A seriously large amount of money for sure, but if it was acquired from an activity that evades taxes, it could be more, could be less.

I may be reading duff information, who's to know, but I read DT's Mother left Scotland.

She did .............

.......... she was born near Stornoway, on the Isle of Lewis in the Hebrides, but left there in 1930 to emigrate to New York, with the stated intention of being a Domestic Servant. She was youngest of 10 children, and a sister had earlier emigrated to the US.

DT prefers to say she arrived in the US "on holiday", but the immigration documents say differently.

Someone who has done her family tree says she got work as a nanny, lost when the family lost money in the Depression, she then returned to Scotland in 1934, but had already met Fred Trump (Donald's father) and returned to NY to marry him, although she often went back to see family. She became a US citizen in 1942 and died in 2000.

Seemingly Donald's sister has been back to visit Lewis many times ..... he has been back just once, and spent only a few minutes with his cousins.

Seems his past is as speculative as Obama's birth certificate ;-)

DT is now saying Trump Towers telephones were tapped during his campaign.
