.............We buy the local weekly newspaper every week & I go through it with a fine toth comb, even reading through the trades & garage pages!
I particularly like to read the BMD announcements but didn't find any this week!

Hubby was in the village shop this morning & had several people comgratulate him on our Golden Wedding Anniversay which is on saturday.
How did they know?

Well it turns out that our youngest had an announcement put into the local paper & I MISSED it!
Paper is now down the bottom of the house road in the recycling bin, thankfully not due to be emptied this week,so hubby will have time to retrieve said paper! lol.

I was talking to both of our daughters yesterday & they had wondered why I never mentioned seeing it!

I feel rather daft though! LOL, & have been so engrossed sending emails to both daughters that I forgot about the chops cooking! & have caught the edges of them!

Not ruined but not up to my usual standard! LOL

Eldest daughter has just brought up a copy of the paper to let us see the announcement.
No wonder I missed it!!
It is on the bottom of the page, in the left hand corner & directly below the Funeral Directors advert!!!

Funny when I'm down at my mums and see the local the death page is the first one I alway turn to that's how we found out my dads sister had died none of the family told us

Just been reading through the YORK PRESS (I'm a York lass) turned to the Announcements to see if there were any GWeddings mentioned from other couples that married the same day as ourselves & up popped one for US, lol.

A very nice surprise as I didn't expect any of our children to think about putting it my home paper!
