I suspect that a lot of people would disagree with the UK not helping France, but hey, if that's an opinion, who are we to gainsay it?

That's the good thing about facts - they trump opinions :)

In both world wars.......

Caroline

Caroline Report 14 May 2017 20:19

"The UK has never bailed out France. "

Really........seriously.......not even just a little bit of help in their hour of need....

Caroline

Caroline Report 14 May 2017 20:18

"France wants to deepen and extend its military cooperation with France which works very well"

France has a split personality?

Caroline

Caroline Report 14 May 2017 19:39

"Breaking tradition for inauguration he used a military vehicle on les Champs.

Place your bets, they're off!"

Are we meant to be shivering in our boots??.....is he going to invade us with his army...great historical values there then never been bailed out have they.

We're back to the EU own lawyers again Rollo....

Don't forget, Jeremiah had an affair with Dianne Abbot. Now that shows taste. (on both sides)

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 14 May 2017 15:51

Oh and by the way Rollo being a true Gooner for 61 years now through thick and thin I am well aware of the score :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 14 May 2017 14:52

To be fair Rollo isn't an Essex girl or married to one.....

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 14 May 2017 14:34

I am in Bedfordshire now Rollo away from the smoke in the beautiful countryside. I certainly would not want to be an Essex Gal

"How do you know that Maybot does not have a thing with her leopard look stilettos and a S&M devotee in the whips office ?"

LOL wow......what a thought...going through your head :-D

Dermot

So what if the French have a relaxed attitude to the notion of mistresses. Good luck to them.

Indeed it would almost seem like a derogation of duties if their President didn't have at least two ladies on the go to keep up with an ancient French political tradition. François Mitterrand did it & so did Jacques Chirac. It didn't seem to hugely affect their ability to do their job. As for the new incumbent, let’s wait & see.

But how do we, as a firm monolingual island nation, know about anything that isn't reported in our own national language? I don't know but I blame Jean Claude Juncker for his recent mildly disrespectful poke at our beloved English language.

In any case, British politicians can no longer afford extra curricular activities following their much exposed expenses scandals.
