Wndows has blocked my Norton protection

For some reason when doing updates Windows has blocked my access to my Norton protection. What can I do about it. I know a lot of you don't like Norton but it's all I have been used to. |

Got rid of Norton on all our home computers many years ago because it slowed them down so much they were unusable. |
