Ashton's Mum's young brother.
I went with her family

They were in the finals of a competion (Under 12s) and after only playing competitively for a year, they won the cup 43-12!

Scott Williams (Wales and Scarlets) presented them with their trophy and they were sprayed with pretend champagne :-D :-D :-D

What Does a Skull and Cross Bones Mean on a Grave?
The primary reason skulls appeared on memorial and headstones was as a Memento Mori, a reminder of our own mortality, an aide-mémoire, should it be needed, that you too will die one day - death is inexorable !

Who Has a Skull on their Gravestone
There’s no truth to a commonly held myth that they are the grave markers of pirates or buccaneers. This story was not only prevalent in Stallingborough (so much so that people have been known to go round the graveyard at night with metal detectors looking for pirate treasure  ) but also worldwide . . . thanks to the internet :)

The Knights Templar . . . this one is slightly different, there are slabs, stones and grave markers (especially in Scotland and remote Scottish Isles) believed to be marking the burial place of a Templar Knight.
I see two things here, one the Memento Mori, as mentioned above, as they were obviously early stones and this was a feature of early headstones and tombs. But secondly, the skull was a hugely important part of Templar belief and worship so it would fit in on the count as well.
We need to be careful before giving too much association to things, in my humble opinion, Winged Skulls appear, for example on a variety of people’s headstones and is/was sheer symbolism, nothing more. The idea, that skulls appeared on the gravestones of Knights Templar means that early stones with skulls on therefore therefore belong to Templars is surely erroneous and nothing more than guesswork.
There’s perhaps more to suggest that their gravestones were more likely marked with a simply incised sword, also symbolising a cross, and that each said may have been particular to said surviving Knight, his sword traced around - they’re not to be found here in Lincolnshire though, more’s the pity, so back on track.

The Freemasons, this is another which appears to be more legend than fact. Whilst undoubtedly skull have appeared of the grave stones of Freemasons I suspect that’s more to do with general design and once again the Memento Mori rather than a ritualized symbol such as the set square and dividers for example.
The skull and crossed bones does appear in Masonry symbols and rituals but when it comes to gravestones I wonder whether this is idea may also have gained weight as many, mistakenly, believe the Freemasons to be directly descended from the Knights Templar.

So, where can we see them, or more to the point where can I find more to photograph in Lincolnshire ?
There’s above and here’s another which is at Burwell Church

I don't think so Jem....to be honest I did try to look into
it but never got a definite answer....there was a lot who
said it was to do with Knights Templar but then some
people disagreed :-) one of those mysteries I suppose
