Well here we are over a week since we brought him home. Still going for walks on a lead in the evenings if the weather is OK. Eating enough posh nosh to put on some weight going from 6.7kg low to 7.1kg. Norm is 7.4kg. Will only drink Evian water. He passes the time looking out of the windows, lolling on an old leather sofa and my desk, helping with the cooking so he is happy if restricted in how high and how far he can jump. |

He has been going crazy to be let out. So in Petsathome found a small dog collar and lead which looked like they might fit. They did and snr cat accepted the getup gracefully which was a surprise. So off we went for a hour in the early evening sunshine. As I let him choose the way I got to learn a little of the secret life of my cat - fascinating. |

Rollo it is rare I pop in these days but so glad I have, making decisions for animals is so hard. I made a right one for one of mine 2 years ago and still regret it today. |

I was so sorry to read about Snr Cat. Let him enjoy the time he has left and, when the time comes to let him go, take comfort in knowing you have done the very best you could for him. |

Rollo, sorry to hear the news about you cat on another thread. Hope you are able to enjoy the time you have left with him. I lost one of my cats a few years ago to heart failure, he was only 7, and they leave such a large hole in our hearts. It's so hard to come to terms with. Take care of him and yourself. |

2 weeks ago took snr cat to vets cos he was not eating normally and out of sorts. He diagnosed a urinary infection gave antibiotics. Initially big improvement but after 10 days not so good so I took him to another (expensive) vet. They detected a sig lump and req permission for ultrascan and xrays. |
