It's obviously stood you in good stead, Maggie.

I liked milk as a child but for some reason, we never had enough. If I used too much, Mum would tick me off, saying 'don't use all the milk' I wonder why she didn't just order more? It can't have been that expensive in the 50s?

I drank my pint a day when I was 18!
At school, of course, we had our third of a pint during morning break :-D

I didn't go into work on Thursday - slept very heavily - in the wrong position :-(
I could hardly breathe, let alone move.
By 11ish the painkillers started working - and I went up to bed and slept for nearly 3 hours.
When I woke up, I decided to e-mail Tesco's, mainly to ensure the accident had been recorded in a 'accident log' - and to point out how difficult it was to phone them..
Received a nice reply - asking if I'd like the manager to phone me.
I didn't but on Friday evening, I replied with a detailed report, and the aftermath.

Today, the manager phoned me, followed, a couple of hours later by their claims man! :-S :-S

At last, some progress towards getting some recompense, I hope. You sound really uncomfortable, Maggie. Make sure you rest and take care of yourself.

I had the milk at school but hated that as it was always too cold (icey) or too warm.

Yes, I was going to mention the 'state' of school milk.
In Scotland, it would come in with the lids popped open and about an inch of ice coming out of the top of the bottle - so it was put by the fire (did you have the old coal fired black fires?) to 'thaw out' :-S

I didn't ask for compensation - but he's going to send details and forms.
Apparently I have 3 years to claim. :-D :-D

If they send the forms, I presume they claim responsibility.......

Looks like it, Maggie. Go for it, you might as well, it would cover lost earnings so you can recover properly (don't mention the dancing)

Our milk was the same, iced up from being left outside early, then brought in and put near the radiators, those old fashioned chunky ones, to thaw. Ugh!

Dancing was pre banana slip and damaged ribs :-D :-D :-D

...I also told the claims person that, had I not slipped, and had to go to the doctor, I wouldn't be having to take a day off work for a gastroscopy next Friday :-|
AND this may stop me seeing my new grandaughter next weekend, as I'll be recovering :-| :-| :-| (I intend having as much sedation as possible)

In other words, this slip has not only cost me at least 2 days pay (so far), it has b*ggered up my plans for a few weeks!!

Exactly, Maggie, but you don't want to give Tescos a let out at all.

Do you have any free legal help from your house insurance? I seem to remember o.h. did and it was Irving Mitchell who helped him claim off the chap's car insurance when he was knocked off his bike in 2013. He got quite a useful amount for loss of earnings, pain and discomfort etc. He had a thumb injury.
