How very dare you use emoticons Sue! :-| :-| :-| :-|
They're soooooo childish.

Meanwhile, elderly gent finds it totally acceptable for HIM (and probably only HIM) to use text-talk as and when it suits.
Oh - and only HE is allowed to have spelling/grammar mistakes - everyone else will be severely reprimanded on their (apparent) lack of education, and instructed on how to use the apostrophy (sic)

Prime example here:

"fwiw I was driving a Jaguar XE which is not the sort if cat to growl overmuch at 36mph"

Well - what on earth was a cat - nay, a Jaguar, doing on the road?
Surely it's just plain cruelty to Jaguars! :-D :-D

(waits for insults from someone with no sense of humour and overrated sense of superiority)

I do love a good insult, shame I'm still trying to find one on this thread ;-)

I wish I could still skip (and use a hula hoop) oh the delights enjoyed by the young.

*giggles and fiddles with plaits*

"Those who care all know and the rest expect no better"

Could you explain what his means?
Should there be some punctuation?

Even with a comma, 'Those who care all know, and the rest expect no better"

I have to ask - All know about what?

Caroline
