Hello, I wonder if any members have transferred their tree over to Ancestry? I am thinking of doing this, but I don't know if it is a safe or wise thing to do. |

I have a small tree on Ancestry, which I set up independently of GR, so I can't answer the question of transferring. |

Why not have your trees on both sites? It isn't an either/or situation. |

Hi Chris, I copied over about 500 people on my side of the tree as I have done the DNA test, but I wondered if I did the GEDCOM to Ancestry would I lose my tree on here, I have 2 other trees on Ancestry doe different people, & do you know if the GEDCOM is easy to use? My trees are private. |

You wouldn't lose your tree on here - only a GEDCOM *copy* is downloaded to your device. Attached records or media won't transfer. |
