Maggie, with some of the wine I drink you have to be careful in using it in cooking. We have a gas cooker and if the wine fumes get too close to the naked flame, or you spill some on the hob, the whole house would go up in flames :-D :-D

Anyone that truely knows me will know full well, if I had paid nearly 400 nicker for a bottle it wouldn't of been hid in a cupboard it will be on full display left up right in front of the display wine rack ;-)

maggiewinchester Report 12 Apr 2018 23:33

I have no time for a wine rack...

I wish they made the boxes containing cat food sachets large enough for a plastic wine bottle.
I suppose I could cut the bottles in half, and invert them ............

Caroline

Caroline Report 12 Apr 2018 23:35

:-D :-D :-D

My local (small) Sainsbury's employs a couple of people who would have attended the Special School, I'm currently employed in, I shall call them Janet and John.
I was buying a couple of bottles of wine (yet again) at my local Sainsbury's.
I went through the 'self serve' route.
When it came to being 'verified' as old enough to buy the wine, Janet (who'd come to 'verify' me) said 'If you buy 12, you get a discount. You may as well, the amount you buy'. :-D :-D

This is why I love working where I am at the moment!!
