I'm going to sound off about my younger brother. He joined the RAOC in the 60's
as a Junior Leader. He did well and joined the regulars where he did very well. He was made sergeant. He became staff Sgt, Colour Sgt the WOII. He was then promoted to WOI.He then unsuccessfully applied for a commission, A year year later he successfully applied and was made a Lieutenant. Soon he was promoted to Captain then again to Major. He travelled the world. Belfast, Europe, Borneo, Sarawak,.He served in Africa and for two years he ran the Glasshouse at Colchester. He retired in 2016 full Colonel. I'm very proud of him.

I am proud of him Emma and my younger brother R.
The military success story married a girl he met in Kuching. They married in Raffles Hotel. Has a son who is a self employed architect and a daughter who is high up in an international mining group.Last saw them 1994 at Mother's funeral.
