Lol, what pictures you conjure up, Sharron!

Oh, what a beautiful morning is the first song my Mum heard after I was newlyborn. She told me hearing it afterwards always brought back the happy memories.

She bought me a musical jewellery box that played the song, which I still have.

Less of a 'take-away' more of a 'bring-in' :-D

Sharron

Sharron Report 5 Aug 2018 22:06

No, we were watching the buzzards.

We had had scrambled egg on toast in bed.

Allan Report 5 Aug 2018 22:02

Were you and the tea sharing a cigarette, Sharron? :-D :-D

Sharron

Sharron Report 5 Aug 2018 21:46

No, my tea and I were just sitting quietly in bed, watching buzzards going round and round. There are no trees in my bed.

I didn't notice Clint Eastwood in there either. Wouldn't have shared my tea with him anyway. He can get his own!

Kense Report 5 Aug 2018 21:32

No, from your earlier post it appeared that you were talking to your tea rather than your honey lamb.

The real song is:

Sharron

Is that "I talk to the trees, that's why they put me away"?

Kense

Kense Report 5 Aug 2018 19:33

OK Sharon how about from Paint your Wagon

I talk to the tea.

Sharron

Sharron Report 5 Aug 2018 19:27

All those people were not there.

It was just me and my cup of tea and my bed hasn't got a balcony either.

They were still going round and round though.

Yeah but two buzzards just doesn't rhyme with anything.

Sharron

Sharron Report 5 Aug 2018 17:51

That's the one, except it was not my honey lamb,it was my cup of tea and there were two buzzards.

MargaretM

MargaretM Report 5 Aug 2018 17:43

Oklahoma every night my honey lamb and I
Sit alone and talk and watch a hawk
Making lazy circles in the sky

Sharron

Sharron Report 5 Aug 2018 17:08

No, not that one.

O what a beautiful morning
O what a beautiful day
I've got a wonderful feeling
Everything's coming my way
There's a bright golden haze on the meadow
A bright golden haze on the meadow
The corn is as high
As an elephant's eye
And it looks like it's going right up to the sky.
O what a beautiful morning
etcetera
