Now that Andrew has slipped down the pecking order - or indeed out of - to 7th in line
he can marry without the queens permission.

It's Eugenie getting married not Beatrice!!!! Yes I agree the vitriol aimed at these two princesses is horrible, but then it is at lots of members of the RF by the general public. As for Sarah and Andrew? Quite honestly, who cares!!!

I read many years ago that a senior Royal didn't want Andrew to re Marry Sarah .there must be obstacle in the way as to why they haven't .but who are we to say .there will always be arguments about Royals & Money I wouldn't mind a bit more money .but couldn't live in a goldfish bowl & hounded by the press Barbara

Who said it was Beatrice getting married? How verrry dare they :-0 :-0 :-0 ;-) :-D

Barbra, there is an obstacle or rather was in Andrews case. Sorry you didn't understand my previous post.

The ruling is that the first SIX in line to the throne need the monarchs permission to marry. Prince Andrew is now SEVENTH in line. Permission no longer needed.

T'was me Island got me Princess's mixed up. :-D

I always thought Sarah Fergie was a bit dizzy and scatty, but then I always felt a little sorry for her as she was was and is always being slated by the press ,she never seemed able to do anything right with them. She was either fat or flumpy, she lost weight she was slated for that. She didn't have the grace and style as Princess Di, so she got a stylist and then accused of wasting money. Poor Lass just could not do anything to please.

She was slated by the press and very unkindly compared to Diana

She tried to fit into the royal family but she made many royal gaffs that the stuffed shirts just wouldn't accept

She still lives in the same household as Andrew and I think they are together but not married

The stuffed shirts will never forgive her trying to be herself that didn't fit in

It's said that prince Phillip has no time for her at all as she wanted to be her own self that didn't fit into the stiff royal protocol

It's one thing putting your foot in your mouth, quite another to put them in someone else's

As the old saying goes, 'The only time he opened his mouth was to change feet':-S

I do hope for his sake that she didn't have athlete's foot :-D

Latest news The Homeless are being moved from the streets of Windsor again .it happened in May when Harry got Married .hundreds of homeless people dying on the streets .who cares .as long as they don't litter the pavements .when another wedding is about to take place .It is obscene the money being spent on an event again by the Royal family .they have enough Money of their own to fund this give homeless some of the houses that are empty .maybe open one of their buildings .a lot of homeless are there not through faults of their own ex serving personal .it hurts when all the wealth is flaunted through news.& media .coverage .I for one will not be watching Fridays events Barbara

Does all of this shifting of the homeless remind anyone of times when beggars and untouchables were moved away from where royalty progressed?

I'd be surprised if the Queen and her advisers do not think this is a step back in the public's acceptance of royal prerogatives.

They are doing the royal family no favours here. It smacks of privilege and superiority over the masses. We know they lead a privileged life but, in my opinion, they are riding roughshod over the general public.

Even if this is a local police authority decision I think it would have been better vetoed by some top-rank royal.

Back in time methinks!

The Royal Family has lost a lot of popularity the past few years so it appears they have taken on professional advisors to attempt to reverse the trend.

It was no more obvious with Harry's wedding when there we saw regular 'announcements from the palace' with tit bits of tempting news to try and attract the popular attention.

Exactly the same is happening again. I don't think the parents or the couple for that matter have a say in what happens, it is all down to the PR machine who are likely to be getting paid handsomly for their efforts.

Not sure if the Dublin or Knock authorities undertook a similar exercise just prior to Pope Francis' recent visit.
