Folks, I have thought long and hard about this but the latest news has encouraged me to try my luck!

I have decided to raise funds for a brand-spanking-new car. In order to do you all proud, it needs to be an eye-catching, look-what-my-cash-has-bought knockout model.

A Maserati, Ferrari or (darn it, I can't remember the model my son-in-law mentioned at weekend, something with an 'ing' in it as well as an oomph ....... ).

I shall dress accordingly when I drive it, of course. Wouldn't want to let the side down, would I?

OH has already promised ........ to help me in and out of the car. ;-) :-D

I'll gladly help, JoyLouise, but only if I become a joint partner in the car.

Some sort of time share could be appropriately arranged ;-) :-D :-D

I fancy a bungalow..........will you help?

OH and I couldn't afford a proper wedding 48 years ago; please help.

It will only cost guests $1500 each

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 30 Aug 2018 11:35

Kathleen, keeping my fingers crossed for you. :-D

Allan, that young lady has a lot to learn. A bit remiss in her education because clearly she ought to have been taught how to lie down and scream and kick. :-D

Hey! I had a Skoda many years ago :-|

Not (then) the most fashionable of cars, but all I could afford.

I hate to say it, but it was a fantastic little car :-P

And it was red! :-D :-D :-D

Got to have a nodding dog as well, and a starting handle.

Even better would be one of those 'scenes' set up on the back parcel shelf.

I particularly remember a rather (not) tasteful one in the 70s of blue netting and ships made of shells.

And what's wrong with a Jaguar....Or hasn't that got enough 'Oooomph' :-D

Dig deep folks, the young un wants a Koennigsegg. :-D

Personally, I'd never heard of the bleddy things - probably not the correct spelling either. :-S

JoyLouise Report 30 Aug 2018 14:21

Sorry Chris, just asked the young un that question.

His answer - Jags, Rolls Royce, Bentley - probably more for older people.

He said it in a more subtle way of course as a ten-year-old who still enjoys Gran's treats would. :-D
