Crazy wasn’t it, think all the houses were the same, you would be in the bath and Nan would be cooking dinner or tea and chatting away at the same time, I wouldn’t mind but the kitchen off the bathroom was quite big for it’s day :-D :-D

So you did have plumming then Ann. Not a tin bath in front of the fire?

My Gran didn't have plumbing inside until must have been about 1961.
There was an outside loo :-D

My nans house was quite up to date having a bathroom, however the toilet was out the back, just a wash basin and bath in the bathroom along with the cooker :-0 :-0 :-0

We moved to the town I live now in 1962 and up till then we had a tin bath, we were the bees knees with a full bathroom.

My nans house along with the others was built by Coutaulds for their workers :-D

What I always think off is living with Lino on the floors even in the bedrooms...not many people had fitted carpets in the 50’s :-D :-D
