Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 29 Dec 2018 14:48

I read but if I have nothing to add I move on

Sometimes I do waffle in my response as I try to explain where i am at
Often this kills a thread but hey ho I move on

Am retired too but my hobby isn't to RR !!

Why bother to get offended. What is someone's humour is someone else's soft spot

Life is too short to sit on a high horse :-(

Barbra
Your original OP was probably carefully constructed as to not point the finger. Unfortunately it meant it could be misconstrued by some of the readers l,m sorry if that is what I did.

I'm delighted with & enjoying a Christmas gift received from 'herself' who knows my appetite for reading.

'1,000 Years of Annoying the French' is the title of the book written by Stephen Clarke & highly praised by The Sunday Times.

An opening comment to give you a flavour of what is to follow: 'The French are quite right to suspect that the last 1,000 years have been one long British campaign to infuriate them. And it's not over yet'.

Brexit looms.

As one of the childish and boring right now; though I hope not up themselves; I'd like to point out that at least this keeps some of the limited movement on here.
It's harmless fun better than none at all....or I'd like to think it is.

So true, Barbra.
The thing is - you don't have to read the comments, or even reply.

If you know you're not likely to enjoy what someone's written - just don't look at the thread.
That's what I do - and I can thus ensure I'm not exasperated by a person's views/ignorance/lack of humour, and I won't offend them by my reply.

People have different senses of humour - surely that's one of the joys of being human?
It's not fair for example, for one person (the 'RR'r) to keep destroying threads just because they're not to their 'liking'. No-one forces them to look.

You say it used to be interesting, I notice you rarely comment, even on 'sensible' threads, so perhaps it may be an idea to start threads that you think would interest people of your 'ilk' - the less childish.

I hope you are not
referring to all Allan’s alternative personalities. ;-)
