Morning everyone. <3 :-D

If you’re wondering why ‘Ageless’ it’s because what I have decided to become after scanning yesterday’s thread. I actually remember the frog clickers - tin things we used as toys in the late-forties. I think Barb may remember them as she is around a year younger than me. :-D <3

Bright and sunny here, with barely a whisper of wind.

Enjoy your day everyone. <3 :-D

Morning Joy :-)

It's a lovely bright one here, but the light overnight frost has made it rather chilly :-|

I'm trying to recall those frog clickers. :-S Quite small and sometimes found in Christmas crackers?
They had sharp edges, I think.
Health and Safety would not approve :-0

Morning Gwyn. <3 :-D

You’re quite right, they did have sharp edges and Health and Safety would not have approved.

There was no frost here when I got up at around 5.30 but it is colder today than it was yesterday.

Morning Joy & Gwyn <3 <3 :-D :-D

Freezing fog here again this morning but the sun has now come out :-D

Very slippery underfoot, many walking on the grass in The Park :-0 A cyclist who uses the park as a short cut came a cropper but he said he was alright he certainly came down with an almighty thud :-0 :-0

Morning Belle. <3 :-D

I bet he felt it, poor soul.

Good that you and Ralphie stayed on yer pins though. <3 :-D

Following my letter to the CEO of our energy company, my monthly payment was reduced. :-D

Island

Morning all :-D :-D :-D

Those clickers were around way beyond the 40s Joy. I remember a fabulous toy shop near Covent Garden in the late 70s/early 80s had them. They had a wonderful selection of pocket money toys.

That cyclist didn't want to lose face in front of a lady Belle. He probably had a cry when he was out of sight. I would have wailed on the spot LOL

Cold here, icy pavements. Staying home :-)

Morning Island. <3 :-D

They were around before my time, Island. :-)

If I’d been the cyclist, I’m afraid at least one swear word would have come out of my mouth. :-0

Icy pavements! It’s positively balmy here then. ;-) :-D

Morning Fly and Von. <3 :-D

Fly, can you believe we have sun while others have frost! In olden days it was always the other way round. Defo something happening to the climate methinks - I’m not complaining though.

Island, I am the proverbial spring chicken. :-D ;-)

Evening All. :-D <3

Foggy and frosty here this morning, bit slippy underfoot.

I was thinking what shop Island was referring. I know Pollocks Toy Museum (which sadly has closed after 100 years) or Davenports Magic shop.

Keep warm, got paperwork to do tonight.

Night All. <3 <3 <3

Evening everyone :-)

Maddie,I don't know about the London area, but it's the sort of thing you might have found in Hawkins Bazaar, which sold all manner of quirky toys in various towns.
Not sure that they would have sold the clicker in it's original potentially dangerous form, though :-|
