Maggie, you're so lucky. Being big busted is a real pain. Support bras are always much more expensive than others and it's always difficult to find one that suits you in terms of comfort.

I have a friend who is really slim and because she only wears a bra because she feels she should and not for support, she can go into any shop and pick up any bra in her size and it's fine - and she always goes for the cheaper end of the market.

I have to admit, I only wear a bra to hide my nipples! :-D

Most of my friends at school were very small busted and could get bras for under a £5 in shops whereas mine back then were about £15-20. It is not a asset having large boobs despite what models say!

As I've got older, I find it incredibly uncomfortable laying on my side in bed.

My nick name was "Dolly Parton" and the family thought this was hilarious but I did not. Having a very large bust from the age of 12 and a 22 inch waist made me look ridiculous. It also attracted the wrong kind of attraction in my teens as I looked older.

Also Kath decent support bras are never as attractive are they. just because we are larger, doesn't mean we don't like red or pink lacy does it? I always wear matching sets too as wouldn't wear odd colours together and the matching knickers are so expensive now too. last red pair I bought to match a bra were £16!!!!

I must say Florence that although support bras weren't as attractive in the past, I think they are improving nowadays with some quite nice ones on the websites already mentioned.

Personally, I only like white underwear and I'm not bothered about matching pairs (I only wear M & S's cotton "big" pants) but I have noticed how matching pants are very expensive.

My friend had a very large bust, out of proportion with the rest of her body she tried wearing tight vest to flatten them a bit but in the end she had them reduced, that was in the 1960s.

Well, my new bra arrived yesterday and this morning i tried it on but sadly its going back.
The straps were quite short even when extended to max and I didnt feel it gave me the support I needed.

So disappointed but that's the story of my life when it comes to finding a good bra. Never mind, I shall probably end up paying an extortionate amount to get what I need.

So back to the drawing board. :-(

Like lots of clothes, different brands have different shapes.

I wonder how ZZzzz got on with her fitting?
