Going to don my cold weather gear and go into town for a few things, then go and check church cupboards for tea and coffee etc. in readiness for coming events. ;-)

It was an early start for us leaving home at 8.15 am, so we had time to get there for the short service of internment of my sister-in-law's ashes in the churchyard, before we went on to happier things.
Great to have a meeting of the various family groups all together.

Yes, Belle, the area around the castle is largely unchanged over the years.
The Norman parish church within outer Roman walls of the castle is where we got married <3
