Afternoon all :-) <3

A wild, windy and wet night, but daytime not so bad and much milder.

Interesting morning in school.
Class were learning about the life of Victorian children and had to obey school rules of that time.
So... No talking at all unless told they can
Stand up in silence if an adult comes into the room etc.

School cook had made a big pot of 'gruel' for them to try.... mixed reaction :-0 ;-)

It was more of a water-based thin porridge, Ann.

About 3 or 4 children ate every bit in their dish :-0

Many wore special outfits. Lots of aprons and mob-caps about ;-)

Interesting to see how many of the teaching styles were still going strong, when I was in primary school eg. learning 'tables' and poetry by rote.
