Close your eyes go back in time, When clothes smelled clean on the washing line, Before the Internet, before Big Mac, Before semi automatics, joyriders and crack, Before hooligans, muggers, pushers and drugs, Cheats, the 'F' word, yobs and thugs, I'm talking about hide and seek in the park, Shining torches in the dark, Spangles, kali, liquorice wood, Penny loaves, didn't they smell good, Wasn't the world a happier place? When life moved at a slower pace.

Does anyone else remember the Mackeson adverts? The bottles played cricket and football and I seem to remember them bending like rubber! I think they were narrated by Bernard ? who used to say 'Go to work on an egg'. I can see him now - bald head and a West Country (?) accent, but I can't for the life of me remember his surname. The earliest advert I remember is also the Pepsodent one. Wasn't Leslie Ash the little girl in the Fairy Liquid adverts? 'Mummy why are your hands so soft?' Sue xx

The Coca Cola advert. 'I'd love to give the world a Coke' then they would have choirs from all over the world singing - think it was an old Seekers song - funny, I don't really remember the song but loved the ad. Libby x
