OH well then ...... fighting a loosing battle.. Can't think of any other way we're gonna stop the morons from posting then ... whether it be on the Boards or on Success Got to be down to Moderators then ...... Life is TOO short to continually fall out or be nasty You NEVER know what is around the corner, and you certainly never know what you have got until it has gone. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Elaine ;-)

Oh, I agree with what you say Elaine, but the IP Address thing would work.

I think that the IP address would work as a partial deterrent... and if it could be implemented it should be. Not everyone knows about the techy side of PC's ... as is obvious from MY blunder !! :-) Moderators as well, if only Part time but MUST include W/ends and night times ... But at the end of the day, it actually all boils down to us lot. Can we not all learn to live along side each other and accept that we are different and have differing points of views, opinions, colours, creeds and religions. Agree to differ but not fall out about it. Stop the witch hunts and stop playing nasty childish games against other members. Ignore threads that become or can be potentially argumentative - walk away and answer a different thread. At the end of the day, we should all be adults ... and act like such. We all have the right to have a say, but if it means being cruel, spiteful, nasty or hurting someone, then keep your opinion to yourself ... simple. Easier said than done ..I know ... Elaine ;-)

I think GR do listen, it just takes them AGES to do so. They never used to work on Weekends, but now I think they must do. Hopefully they'll listen eventually.

The easy way to discourage the morons is to ignore them completely..........without an audience they would soon lose interest. Unfortunately, there are other morons who feel the need to respond............. Reg

Would chatrooms not create a larger problem because they are instantaneous? They would also, surely, have to be moderated and if that is the case then why not go back to the original idea of moderated message boards? In my experience chatrooms also tend to be very cliquey and can seem a daunting, closed shop to people who have never used them before. The beauty of message boards is that one can add to a number of differing topics at the same time and it is possible to instantly see what people are talking about. One can also read whole threads before making the decision whether to add whereas with chatrooms your 'presence' is shown as soon as you enter the room and before you post.

I don't think we should get rid of the Gen board. If some people can't/won't behave in a civilised manner then get rid of them. I'll say it again - GR already have our credit card numbers - they can easily check if the banned or fakes try to use them to register and we should all have to give names and addresses. Simple enough to do - ebay do it. Gwynne

Hi Elaine, apologies - I hadn't seen your thread when I put mine on this morning. Great minds and all that LOL. Yes, I would like to see moderators on these boards, with the power to delete immediately any threads that are just looking for rouble.
