Hi Polly, Thought you had gone there, well I was working up to a year ago. My husband had been very ill and the doctors put him on Murphine. He had several falls in the house when I was at work so decided to take early retirement to look after him as he is worse now. Anyway I am not looking forward to the pension forms coming in next year. I just don't know what we will get in pension anyway. I worked in the Careers Office in Dundee. for about 19 years. Betty |

sorry to hear about you husband,,,you can claim a carers allowence, the pension is peanuts, I feel sorry for people who have to rely on it.... |

Hi Polly, My hubby already had a care component in his disability benefit, not much but still paying mortgage and council tax so it just goes. I think you a correct about the pension though, I worked all my life for nothing, the pension is awful, will also get a small pension from my work but not much, only worked there part-time. Betty |

I have been lucky,,,,don't have to worry financially but it is rough on those who need the pension, couldn't believe how low it is....got to go now....Neighbours just arrived, beautiful evening up here, waiting for the sunset....Must pour the drinks....I am always about if you want chat.... |
