NO........have a little fellow that doesn't sleep well!!! Am used to the night shift!!!! Been 5 yrs now and just getting somewhere.....but can hear him 'moaning' in his sleep......... you get used to it!!!!!!!! Stel.xx

Hi girlies, Grandma Petunia here, just come on line for a quick look at what's going on before I join the snoring lump upstairs. You all make me feel so old, 58 soon, but believe me, I 've been there and got the t shirt with men. Even this time, after years of bringing up my son alone, I fell for a load of old baloney and got myself stuck in a situation I am now trying to leave. Practicalities mean it will take a while to shake loose, but I can't wait. 9 years now and that's 8 years too many. I met the love of my life years ago, but wasn't glamorous enough for him - he more or less told his mates he wanted someone young and glam to be seen out with and someone older and more stable at home. Well I was the pr*t who was at home making ends meet and he was out and about with girls half his age. Eventually after 7 yrs we split for the final time and he married someone half his age a few years later and is still with her, with three daughters. When I had our daughter 31 years ago, he wouldn't look at her till we knew if she was going to live as she was born 3 months prem and weighed only 1 lb 10 oz. He never saw her because she died after 3 days and he just about managed to come to the Registrat to register her birth and death and then left me to arrange the funeral alone. Told me he couldn't live with me but couldn't live without me, but he's done a fine job without me for the last 25 years. Be very careful and just have fun for now, and wait until you are really sure you meet someone who will treat you right through thick and thin. Bec - well done tonight - when is his party - are you still going or did you go? I've forgotten when you said it was. Donna- Give yourself time, just have a good time (not meant in the wrong way) and meet as many people as possible.

Not as much now.......am used to it!!!!!!!!!! Can't sleep now!!!!! (as you may have noticed)!!! But days are REALLY tough when other kids have things they want you to be there for! Am having trouble staying awake then!LOL Stel.xx You feeling better now hon????

Thanks Stelly - I am ok - just a bit maudlin about another birthday coming up and wanting to do more than I am ever going to be able to manage. Have been reading a funny book recently - called Footloose - about 3 young girls (18) on holiday for the summer in Greece and it makes me wish I could do something similar - as you may have seen I have been trying to get some time away housesitting but one offer seems to have come to nowt. Wish I could win the lottery and do a Shirley Valentine!!!! Better get to bed , take care all of you, Liz
