Sounds good to me Malc. So long as we have a general idea the rest can be sorted out fairly easily I would have thought. My only problem is going to be that I'll want to meet so many people I'll end up going too! Looks like you've got a GR Relay then Jenny!!! Well done! Daisy

If you guys do decide that the Pink Fund will benefit from this I would like to assure you that every penny raised will be sent to the charity..... there are NO admin charges deducted and to my knowledge no high profile people that are being paid to do nothing!! I personally do not take anything from the fund or Cancer Research UK.... in basic terms - I am not paid by anyone other than my employer for who I worked 37.5 hours a week! :O) Look forward to hearing what you decide and happy to help co-ordinate it if that is what you would like me to do! Pink x

Jenny Just thought --my friend who had breast cancer does an awful lot for the support group and wonder if I could get her involved even if it's just part of the relay!!!

I would like to start this relay on Sunday 1st May. That will give us plenty of time to get routes organised. Ideas for a starting point please. Obviously on the Coast. Thinking of photographs and possible publicity the more members the better for the start and first leg of the relay, dont you think. So we really need somewhere on the coast where a few members could easily get to to start us off. We have the Geordie meet on April 23rd, St George's Day. I am only tens mins walk to the beach. But could I get a BIG PINK TEDDY so quickly? Jenny.

Ann, sorry you must have been typing your message as I was typing mine. Of course that would be great. Please put your friend in the picture. I am going to have to get a list up for all the areas member can possibly be at. Jenny xx

If we are going to do a West to East, how about along the South Coast. Maybe Maz could start at Cornwall, I know we have members in Exeter, Dorchester, Bournemouth and Southampton. I would be happy to relay Ted to Chichester.....

Yes, but what about all us lot up here Jim. Thats why I now think it best to do just one big one all over Great Britain. Jenny.

PinkDiana

PinkDiana Report 7 Apr 2005 13:41

Surely there are enough of us on here that we could hand over without travelling too far????

Mommylonglegs

Mommylonglegs Report 7 Apr 2005 13:50

Maybe now is the time to get a list of where everyone lives. Trouble is some are not going to want to divulge where. So if they could just say what area and where they could travel to. Also if they are away a certain time for holidays etc. Then I can wade through it all and get some idea to where there are gaps on the map of Great Britain. Jenny.

East Herts to me is only a short hop, Jenny - see earlier post. I could take it to Central London and meet up with anyone from South London/Surrey for the next leg. CB >|<

Chuffed to bits. Have just managed to download great maps of GB. Some will be fantastic for me to label where we all are. Plan a route accordingly. Keep any ideas coming in please. Jenny
