Perhaps Julia Wright would like to tell us why she dragged this one up rather than use one of the more recent ones?

Only allow PAYING members to access ANY of the boards. Monitor the General board - don't rely on members to do it. Tell new members how the boards work when they join.....don't leave it to the paying members to do it for you. Allow initial messages to be printed in the form in which they are typed.........not all bunched together. Replies appear in the correct form, so why not the requests? Invest in a search engine which is able to cope with the volume of usage.

LOL Bob! Yeah it took me a while to realise it was Steve Pankhurst that was being talked about. We go on about GR not listening these days, but to be honest it doesn't look as though that much has changed judging by the list of complaints. Although I must say it does seem to have got worse since ITV took over. I think, because it was alot smaller in the old days, you felt as though you were getting a more personal service.

Funny you should say that, Jeanette, it seems I must have a double.............or treble even.............I read first couple of pages .......thought MM! they've covered most things, only just now realised its Steve Pankhurst he was talking about......Doh!! Annie, It WOULD be nice if when they make changes, we got at least a brief explanation of how they are supposed to work, and in what fashion they are supposed to be an improvement, ye? Bob

Has the phantom nudger been let out again!

In very large trees that one has access to, it used to be possible to scroll through a list of relatives. This facility no longer appears to be available - well at least I can't find it. On two occasions I have located another connection in addition to the known connection through scrolling through the list of relatives. By virtue of the way the tree is set up, it is impossible to check all names in it.

I read the first three pages of this before realising it was two years ago. The only thing I noticed was how slowly complaints were comming in. I can't imagine having to keep nudging the thread now to get enough!!! I wish they would put a tutorial on the site for new members rather than expect the paying members to do all the hard work. Giving your Members an explanation or reason, when you suspend or ban them.

When viewing 'My tree matches' I am shown how many names have appeared in the last 1 day but when I click on the names, the results shown are different. Often by a high number. A facilty for showing when someone last used the site as it could indicate that a brick wall is being hit if someone no lnger uses GR! Jacky

THIS SITE IS TERRIBLE WAS EINSTEIN INVOLVED WITH THE REDESIGNING.IT USED TO BE GREAT YOU HAVED WIPED CLEAN ALL MY ENTRIES OF WARRENER. I CANT SEE PEOPLES TREES WHEN I HAVE THEIR PERMISSION FOR A SECOND TIME HOW DO I DO THIS AGAIN DO I HAVE TO ASK SAME PEOPLE EVERYTIME I WANT TO VIEW THEIR TREES DOESNT LINK CROSS REF FAMILIES LIKE IF YOU PUT DATE AND AREAS. Hi I posted a thread on tips board, asking if it was my eyesight or GC? and someone suggested I add it to your list, of complaints. I apologise if any one has already recorded it before me, as I haven't looked at your thread yet, will do when finished. All my contacts messages are so FADED i't s hard to read, and then I noticed a lot of the writing via GC is very faded. Val
