Hello all my friends.
We had a good day with sun, no wind just a bit cooler than the last few days.
The funeral went very well, a five minute talk by one of his friends then a reading from the bible and finished with a short prayer, about twenty five people were there mostly family and a few friends of his, then we had a nice buffet and coffee in the local pub.

Glad all went well Rog............sounds like it was nice and private - i feel this is the best way with no fuss - very dignified, your Pops would have been proud.

Not staying on, been to the dentist today and i am generally not feeling to good.

Sorry I haven't been on here over the last couple of days my friends. Leigha has been really unsettled and daughter is looking absolutely shattered. Leigha stayed with other Grandma for the night which I knew was going to be a bad idea but then yesterday she was running a little bit of a temperature and is getting really bunged up and not coping with her feeds too well. Now that our eldest is home I know she will be more than happy to help out with Leigha. Let's hope the little one feels better soon and can get back into some kind of routine.

Rog, I am so pleased to hear that all went well at the funeral and send my best wishes to you and your family. You have been so busy helping out with Pops in his final days and knowing a smidgen of what you have been through, you really are a special person. Sending you and your family my best wishes.

Off to hoover the stairs etc while Leigh and my two girls are out shopping - not doing it because she is disturbed by the hoover - we haven't tip-toed around she is used to sleeping through general day to day noise - just means I can be available if needed and catch up on the nasty jobs and save the nice jobs for when she is around!
