In the last few weeks I have applied for several jobs through an agency, and not heard a word back from them, not even to acknowledge they had received my application.

However, about 30 mins ago, I applied for another job, shut it down and forgot about it, but my phone rang, they love my CV and want to see me. At the moment it is only at agency level, but after an initial interview they want to put me forward for an interview with the company concerned in the customer service dept, dealing with complaints, 2nd in command to the supervisor. Should be about £16k too!

I'm out of practice at letter writing, so if anyone can point me in the direction of a couple of site to help out here that would be great, I sort of blagged it a bit on that point (ahem).

Sounds wonderful TW, and you dont need practise, you are great at letter writing. If anyone complains just send them a free jar of curry sauce:-) Well that's what Geetas did when I couldnt open their jar.

Just had an email, they are sending my details and CV over to the company now, so I should hear about an interview soon.

I know I can do it, but on Friday I have to write a reply to a complaint as part of my agency interview. I have done it before but its a long time ago, I'm used to dealing with them over the phone rather than email/letter.

I just hope I'm not too long-winded, nor too abrupt when I do it.

Yes I know, a year is a long time to be out of the rat-race, and I can't wait to get back in it in a way, but I can't help remembering that even a week off work would show changes, how much change is there going to be in a year?
