Errol, welcome to the 'Ive been sworn at on GR' club LOL. Very elite club you know!

I dont think swearing necessarily displays lack of intelligence but one thing I was taught on an assertiveness course (years ago lol) was that if a person needed to resort to using bad language to get a point across they have already lost the argument.

I think in that context it's true!

I'm obviously in the minority!! If I find someone objectionable and offensive for some reason I don't want to get into a battle of wits or win any argument so I am quite likely to tell them to whatever off!!

Errol, why did you get sent the pm? Was it random or a reply to something you'd sent? I always believe there are at least 2 sides to every tale but it looks like I'm alone in that also!!

I think there's a major difference between someone swearing in conversation and someone searing AT someone else. When its the latter it's unacceptable, I think it's especially so when it's an email or PM as it's also cowardly.
By the way I like a bit of a swear myself, although when my kids are getting to me I stick my head in a kitchen cupboard and mutter expletives pretending I'm looking for a tin of peas.

I am in the elite club to :):)

Ive been sweared at , sworn at even sworned and swearded at lol

Its not nice when it happens but at the end of the day I dont give a flying fig as Im still smiling and my sense of humour sometimes gets a vision of someone who is sat there with their head ready to explode because I dont bite back lol
