Your hopes are likely doomed. ;)

But somebody might be able to help dig up some rellies for you.

Are you looking for their descendants? Descendants of Elsie's sibs maybe?

"Connection" is such a vague word, and I just never have any idea what it means!

You know who the two Burdick-Jaques children were? They could be living, so I won't put their details from the GRO index here.

Go ahead, ask us anything! ;)

I do have 2 sons b 1930 and 1931. [ my cousins] and marriages for them from B.M.D. and children. so my request was really for some one who actually has a CONNECTION. to tis family. I will get the marriage certificate then I can see if all is correct.

There is a Elsie Matilda Jacques registered 1897 Mar Q West Ham (could have been born Late 1896) vol 4a page 169
Could the N be a misprint for M?

it me again Gillian, The 1841 census at Sayers Court Deptford has Great Great Granda James Jaques and his motherAND his mother in law along with his own family A brave man i'd say.
he was back in 1820s when he was first wed to Martha Matilda Bond, a Convict keeper or Prison guard on the hulks that were moored along by Woolwich Arsenal and Ship yard.
I find that fascinating. Moving to Deptford and then to Rotherhithe , the family must have been in such fetid air, Tanneries and flooding from Thames ,that to moveupto leafy Charlton must have been wonderful.
Sayers Court Deptford was the home od Joun Evelyne diarist.
He loaned it to the Tzar of Russia for a while 1680-90s and he appariently made a bit of a mess of it. There is at this time lots of redevelopmentinthe area and silhouetted in the main door way of a new block of flats is a massive statue of the Tzar of Russia. Frederick the Great. Can be seen from the river Thames.

Just a bit of local knowledge Brenda
