Find Ancestors

If you have just an address for someone can it be found on the census ? an if so would someone be so kind as to look one up for me ?

The year would be 1891 so the census nearest that and the address is
15 Neptune street which i think is in ROTHERHITHE as thats where thay got married the person in question is a man be the name of WILLIAM PEARCE and he was 35 years old and his occupation was CLERK
any help would be most wellcome

Hi Julia yes I looked at the 1891 census for 15 Neptune Street Rotherhrithe, no Wm Pearce at no 15

Not very good at this but i had a look on FIND MY PAST and at 15 Neptune st Rotherhide were the Hunter family

Unfortunately William Pearce is a common name, do you have any info on children etc,

Hi yes i have their marriage certificate but on a the marraige certificate of his son also willam pearce (1933) hes dead and in the box of fathers occupation it says that he was a licenced victuallar.

his son was my grandfather whos death certificate we have but cant find a birth certificate and untill we get thta we cant put a headstone on his grave its as thought neither of them ever existed
ive been to the national archives ect but no luck

Be careful with those births William C is defiantly not your William as that ones parents are coming up as Edwin & Ellen on the 1891

There is another William Pearce on the 1891 he is down as born 1890 & parents names are William & Elizabeth but they are not your William & Eliza as other info is not the same as the 1901


So i wouldn't put my life on as either being correct.......really need to pick your guys up in the 1891

I have the info on the orphanage that thay were put in to we have all the letters of entry and who put them there makes interesting reading
