i am trying to find out about my gran,lorna miles,seal, maddock,birth 1903,i know she got married twice once to earnest maddock an a surname seal has just come to light,
any help wouild be greatly appreciated as i have come to a dead halt on this side of the family

Hello again Clive. There is a tree on Ancestry, owned by a Clive Maddock (yourself?), which gives Lorna Elizabeth Mills birth date as 11/06/1913 in Cheadle, Staffs, death is 2003. Married to Ernest Henry Maddock 1904-1964.

Tree gives mother's surname as Howlett.

pm sent to Clive re possible 1941 birth to 1st marriage

yes date of birth is confirmed,by her birth cert which my brother is holding

well i thought howlett was a mistake but after reading what info that you guys have found i not so sure,but as we are talking i trying to find a link between howlett and lorna,as of yet other than the birth cert i cannot find a thing

Clive, I think it would be well worth sending off for that birth certificate to see what the parent details are.

i only have howlett as mothers maiden,no father,so those on my tree may be wrong

You say your brother has Lorna's birth cert?

it should give the full name of her mother (and hopefully her father)

we need to know these names if we are to help you further.
