Was Miles the surname or 2nd middle name? I looked at the births and saw registered Frederick G Stoner 1907 Leeds West? Was Eliz Stoner a married woman then?

an Oct birth would be registered in Dec quarter.

So Miles is a middle name?

Did Mr Stoner die I wonder? Then she got together with Mr Miles, had a couple of children, and for some reason married Mr Miles 6 years later.

Can someone check the marriage reference on Ancestry please for the missing groom in June 1918 (ref above)

Stoner appears to have married Nicholls in 1901 but there was a Stoner birth with Nicholls as mmn

Ancestry has a Elizabeth R Stoner in 1901 census but it's an error for Storer.

I agree that the m/c is desirable. Would like to know the second forename. The index definitely has 'R' - but was it right?

Thanks so far. I'm still struggling to establish the Stoner/Nicholls marriage, if there ever was one!
Could Elizabeth have co-habited with a Stoner, who may have died/left. Did Elizabeth leave & live with Miles, then finally married again in 1918.
Have 1918 marriage cert on order. Although I don't think it will help.
Q. Where did you get the info on all the children born to Elizabeth?

It may be worth sending for the birth cert of William Miles Stoner (1804) or even his death cert stating reference points.
Do you have the full or a shortened version Of frederick George's birth cert?

We have the birth cert of Frederick. No father named.
We assume that Eliz was in cocorts or even cohabit with Wm Miles. Had a few children prior to eventual marriage in 1918. We are stuck with Eliz's marriage to a Stoner, prior to above.
