I've just looked in the qtrs for years 1918-1920, for Alfreds birth and couldn't see it |

Sometime people went by either their middle names or a nick name. My grandad was John at birth but everyone called him Jack so one of the above could be him. ;) |

Well it was definately James Barker. My grandmother used to go by Clarie but not much difference. |

Unfortunately i've had trouble finding marriage listings too, I've often wondered if people in my tree actually got legally marriage or not. It's a possibility i'm affraid. |

I've also found a James E Barker marrying a Clarie W Innocent in 1916. Could she have been married before and her previous husband died in the war? Alot of men died in 1915 in Gallipoli so i'm wondering if James was her second husband. |

I think my grandmother died about 1974/75 but not exactly sure. No idea of my grandad. As far as i know she wasn't married before. She was only born in 1898. |
