Please do not add requests to this thread!

I like helping people and enjoy a puzzle but some people do make it very difficult for helpers!

I tend to scan through requests and if it seems really muddled I think that I can't be bothered.

Please try to put your request into sentences and make it clear what you already know.

Separate things out a bit like I am doing here so people can see the parts of your request at a glance.

If you know surnames, dates and places please tell us.

Then remember to come back and look at the thread so you can see if anyone has been able to help.

Seconded. If I can't understand a post on first read, then I'll ignore it.

I started one of these threads a couple of weeks ago and somehow or other it turned into requests for help from people!

I agree with every word you have said Sue but I dont think everyone listens!!!

Saw your thread Linda, it was around for a few days and as you say a lot of people don't take any notice or never see them.

Fully agree with you also Sue

I wish GR would put up a sticky about it.

Shelly

you should start a thread of your own to ask your questiosn

This is meant to be a thread offering advice on HOW to ask for help, not offering help.

Your request will get lost on here.

Well this is interesting! The number of people who haven't actually read what this thread is about before adding comments surprises me. I've just altered the title and maybe now people will understand.

This thread is trying to make people realise that if you want help from any of your fellow members in this group then you need to make it clear what you want. Not on this thread PLEASE. Make your own thread and make it obvious what you are asking for!
