Canadian Marriage lookup needed if possible please!

I have looked all through English marriages and found nothing so he must of married in Canada .......


James John Fautley Born GRO=Registered Birth: Mar 1892 - Dartford, Kent V.2a p.451

Census 1901: FAUTLEY James John age 9yrs born Belvedere Kent, with parents FAUTLEY James John 47yrs born London, & Elizabeth (Lizzy) (Laundress) age 30yrs born Belvedere Kent, and siblings Arthur 7yrs born Belvedere Kent, Charles 5yrs born Belvedere Kent, Edwin 3yrs Belvedere born Kent, Walter 10 months born Ilford, Essex, and Grandmother Elizabeth Gilbert 67yrs (Retired Laundress) mother-in-law born Hanley Staffordshire living in East Ham, Essex,


He must have immigrated after the 1901 census .....I cannot find any records on that either!!


Married a women named Clara and was serving in the Canadian Army during WW1.
His Canadian Military number (736581)

Date of death being 08/08/1918 and is laid to rest in Villers-Bretonneaux Military Cemetary, Somme, France.


So he must have married in between 1910 -1918

Inscription Information
James John Fautley, 4-12-1893 Belvedere, Kent was WW1 soldier that is listed on cenotaph in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.

I have not seen his attestation papers or any thing much the Canadian Army want more info about him for the cenotaph, I have his history going backwards but not forwards

I would love copy of his papers

His census record is on Automated Genealogy in 1906. Cannot find him in 1911 yet. It gives his immigration date. (He was living in Saskatchewan, if that is the same James as your James.)

Automated Genealogy can be a bit confusing, but you can see the original images.

There are also attestation papers for Charles Fautley born 1896, Belvedere, Kent. (Brother?) His next-of-kin is mother Mrs. Baker in Raymond, Alberta.

Also Arthur Fautley born 1893, Belvedere, Kent, next-of-kin mother Lizzie Faultley, Raymond, Alberta.
He enlisted Sep. 1914, Charles Feb. 1915. Did mother remarry between those dates?

Just noticed Arthur's birth on attestation papers Sep. 29, 1893, Charles Dec. 4, 1893. Realized that Charles birthdate is wrong on attestation papers.

There is a Baker family on the 1911 in Medicine Hat, Alberta. List includes some of the Fautley given names.

Stepfather Baker was a plasterer; same occupation, I believe, that James had on his attestation papers.

Margaret, a few of my rellies gave their incorrect birthdates, as well. ;) On purpose.

Curious, Lisa, if mother is remarried in 1911 why did Arthur give her name as Lizzie Fautley in 1914?

Tsk, tsk. Looks like Charles lied to get in. He is much younger on the 1911 census. (Although on the census, my rellies birthdates are "off" by one or two years.)

I couple of my mum's rellies' lied about their ages on the attestation papers. They wanted to sign up, but they were too young.
