Σ(•`) Cougar’s a Chick Σ(•`) Report 15 Apr 2008 18:13

His parents another James John Fautley born 1855 married Elizabeth Gilbert in England GRO=F/Q 1891 Dartford Kent V.2a p.689

They must have all emigrated as a family out to Canada

I have his brother Charles married at Medicine Hat Alberta 15-7-1919 to Elsie Craven and a child born to the couple as well Violet born in 1920

And thats the only info I had on Canada

MargaretM Report 15 Apr 2008 18:18

Was Charles middle name Herbert, by any chance?
I decided to look at British Columbia records, only because they have better records than other provinces. There's a Charles Herbert Fautley who died 19 Feb. 1974 in Whalley, British Columbia, aged 77.
Also an Elsie Fautley died 7 May, 1945, Vancouver, BC, aged 47.

Crougar, are you able to see the 1911 census image for the Bakers in Alberta? Shows James and Arthur immigrating much earlier.

Crougar :)

"James John FAUTLEY (1892 – 1918)
He emigrated to Canada in 1902 and in 1906..."

The website address stretches on forever. If you try a google search
Fautley Genealogy Canada
looks for "Jan's paternal family history"

The above information (and a little more) comes from this site. Actually, there is quite a bit of information about the Fautley siblings and their lives.

Margaret: I'm terrible with explaining things. Could you help Crougar, please with the sites?

Possibly houseman? (Servant?)
He was living with that family, presuming you are looking at the 1906.

Crougar, I have to leave for a bit, sorry. I'll be back later? (Actually, I'll keep popping in here, in case you have questions, but I have a few things I have to do right now.)

Haven't found anything yet.

Did run across this site, for the town of Raymond:
http://www.raymond.ca/

Perhaps you could write to "someone" and inquire about the Fautleys? The town is very small. Someome (post office, librarian, etc.) might be able to give you information about the Fautley/Baker family.

If you try searching for Fautley on the LDS site, you will find the submitter of Fautley information. I will send you a pm.

Hi Crougar:

Yes, it's the same site.

Hubby just came home. Have to stop for a bit. You're up a bit late, eh? :)

Are you interested in the Petaluma Fautley's?

I'll continue looking in a bit. Sorry I have to run.

Σ(•`) Cougar’s a Chick Σ(•`) Report 16 Apr 2008 01:38

Yes Lisa 1.37 in the morning

I am interested in any on the fautley family that fits on my tree!

I met some of the canadian ones when I was young and heard about the USA ones, my mother used to write to them, but all her letters went missing .....

I have got a feeling these Canadians Fautleys met the Canadians Fautleys that I know of.
