Hi Bright Eyes,
I have a considerable collection of somerset records, but by no means covering all of the county.
Were you looking for someone in particular?

I am researching and not getting anywhere the name Murren, Hannah Murren. On the 1851 census she is simply listed as being born in Somerset which isn't really helpful especially as she died before the 1861 one.

oh alan

dont you just hate it when they do that?

where were her parents born, where was she living on the 1851?

Hi Bright eyes,

I am researching Burge ,Melhuish, Stevens/Stephens, & Brimble..and i have a distant Brimble marrying an Isaac Parfitt in 1824 at Radstock.

Hi Bright Eyes

I don't know who her parents were as in the 1851 census she is living with her husband Robert Hamlin at 8 Brook St, St Pancras, London. She got married in 1825 at St Marylebone Church in London.

She was born in 1803.

A Somerset thread. Excellent !

I am looking for the baptism of Sarah Hipwood in Bath, Somerset in 1790 as that is the year of her birth according to the 1851 census.

I am researching Somerset - mine are mostly from the Langport, Yeovil and Chard districts.
