Hi:

I need some help with this one please.

I have Sarah with siblings: James, Daniel, Mary Ann and Polly.

Sarah was born in Buckinghamshire ... probably Ballinger Bottom, near Gt. Missenden, near London.

She married William Brown (c1870) and they had seven children, including the only one I know of who had the name Frank who came to Canada and married Maria Anna (Mayme) Koch.

I have checked all the Sarahs and Williams and there are lots of them in the Missenden area but cannot find a Sarah with the same siblings.

Any help would be wonderful.

Margaret.

Do you have her marriage cert as it would be useful to know the name of father and his occupation.

Have you found her on any census?

Hi:

No other useful information ... I have a contact with a Sarah and William Brown, and everything fits except the siblings .... Margaret.

Where have the names of James, Daniel, Mary Ann and Polly come from?

When and where are William and Sarah supposed to have married?

Hi:

I am doing this for my son-in-law's family ... and his Ma gave me the information on her hubby's family as he remembers it. I can imagine they would get a name or two wrong but not all of them.

The direct line relative came to Canada so some info was lost in transition I guess.

Thanks for trying to help. Margaret.

Hi:

Sarah and William married in England and lived at Ballinger Bottom nr. Gt. Missenden, Buckinghamshire, near London. Frank their son was born at Ballinger. So I am sure they came from that area.

I guess Mary Ann and Polly could be the same one ... cannot find a Polly at all .... not a regular name is it....usually short for Margaret.

Margaret.

Hi Andrew:

They were born about 1870 so would be too young to be married in 1884 - could be their birth dates are wrong tho.

They had a son in 1906 ...if that helps.

Margaret.

Hi:

We were zapped during a thunderstorm on Monday evening and have just got a temporary computer repair now, so I will be off line for a few days.

I do thank everyone for helping and will be back as soon as I can to study the details and reply to you all.

Best regards....hoping for fair weather. Margaret.

Hi~!

I am back with a new satellite computer which hopefully will not be affected by thunder storms.

I have this new information regarding Sarah Pearce's
husband which may or may not help in finding the right Sarah.

It seems that William Brown's mother was Nellie Brown. William was her first child and then her husband died when William was a baby. His mother, Nellie, remarried to a James. So William Brown had step brothers - Abraham James, Alfred James, Arthur James.

Hope this helps somewhat.

Best regards. Margaret.

If you have access to Ancestry there are two Private Family Trees which feature your Frank Brown. A Bicknell tree and a Brown Tree.

Hi Pam:

The time delay is because I live in Canada.

Thanks for your research .... as most of the Pearce/Brown family notes are from memory, I think I am going to have to get more documentary evidence to see if we can establish which Sarah Pearce belongs to our Brown family here.

I have checked the Bicknell tree and feel it is not the same branch.

Many thanks for your help .... Margaret.
