Ann I don't think it sinks in - I don't mind sending emails but the problem appears to be ongoing.

I am now sending a personal email sometimes to the person myself advising them to check their thread for messages and if they are no longer looking to delete but does not appear to have done anything as I have not received any reponse.

me to honestly i wounder why we bother and why do people leave it so long to check their posts i dont now how many i have sent info to and when you look to see if they have replied they have'nt if it was me looking for info i would be checking back all the time regards ann

I ageree Ann what is the point of starting to search for the family and then stopping.

If you do not intend to look ny further you should delete the message. Perahps GR should "cleanse" the system a bit more regularly say anything over 3 years old, and not leave it up to the "goodwill" of its members.

I think the problem is that the old Trying to Find messages were the old method where you couldn't t add to the request ,you had to reply by clicking on the originators name.The requests are being resurrected now by people do name searches and on appearance they dont seem to have any replies.
Its Genes updates to the site that have caused confusion .
Some people now still think they will be contacted with info on their latest request cos thats how the system worked in the past so they dont come back to their thread,which is frustrating when you have spent time searching and adding info.
