Sorry Patricia, I can't find anything for County Down for 1911. The records for Counties Down and Antrim seem to be together.

The only thing that comes to mind (thinking out loud really) is an uncle of mine born around the same time, had his birth registered twice... in two different years!! LOL Caused all sorts of problems applying for anything that needed a birth cert. :-)

Patricia,

You can have a look here:

http://ifhf.brsgenealogy.com/map.php

It's free to register with the site. 5.00 euros to view a cert I'm afraid, but still cheaper than travelling. :-)

I had a look and there's only two births for John Morrow registered in 1911. Both are County Armagh.

Good luck.

Laura.

My Mum was born in Dublin 1916.

She never had a birth certificate only her Baptism certificate as proof of birth.

She applied for her birth certificate in 1947..because she was getting married..nothing found then.

Likewise for 2 of her sisters who were born 1914 & 1921 so we have no idea where they were living in Dublin City back then!
