It also might say if she really was a widow and her former name. Im very suspicious of John Presbury the lodger in 1841, 1851,1861 Perhaps hes the father of the later children

here's the marriage registration for Sarah ....but only 3 names, and of course it's Peter that is missing

Hi Sylvia - have just checked the extra info you added and the query as to which Presbury parents are which. I agree that in all probability, it is Elizabeth who is Sarah's mother - she is the one living with Sarah on 1851 census together with John age 41 who I suspect is Sarah's brother John. Regarding Peter Belfield. Yes he was born in Belper, Derbyshire as stated on 1861 census. Once I found Sarah married to him on 1861 census, I decided to back-track Peter and found him on 1851 census living White Moor Hall, Belper with wife Hannah 33, and children Mary 8, Harriet 6 and Peter 2. Peter was born Mar Qtr 1949 and Hannah the wife died Mar Qtr 1849 - probably in childbirth. Unless I can prove different, I am happy with John and Elizabeth as parents. You folk on here have been absolute treasures and I am more than appreciative of your efforts. Thank you.
