do you have any dates, places, possible wives etc

are we looking 1700s or recent??

where exactly have you looked??

Have you tried putting his name into the Search Trees facility (look at the top of the screen).

Mind you .... he will only be there if someone has entered him!

Alistair,

Yes thats the one I was hinting at by the dates but wanted feedback before suggesting it.

That was the only reference I had found to the name anywhere.

he was born late 1890's or early 1900's.
He died around 1954/55 in Bridge of Weir sanitorium, possibly of T.B.

Alistair

Alistair Report 9 Oct 2008 09:33

There are no deaths registered for anyone of that name (or similar) between 1950 and 1960 in Bridge of Weir.

ALISTAIR,
He definately died in that Sanitorium around that time, would all deaths be registered?
We just keep hitting dead ends and can't get nowhere at all with this. Strange.
Amanda.

Doesn't really matter which board you put your threads on as most helpers look at them all, as long as you only post the same request on one board.

Records Office board is probably best for lookups.

I have found out that he was born in 1900,married a Sarah Gray in1929 Greenock,Renfrew,he died in 1955 at Kilmalcom Renfrew.
This is even more puzzling now because Adoption papers had Sarah Syme as adoptive mum so,what happened to Sarah Gray?
