This certainly ties in Thomas Hartley B.1845 my friends gt.gt. grandad had a brother Ellisborn after him they originated in Yorkshire, so having a quick look it looks very promising.

Anything at all would be appreciated. I've tie in all that you posted yesterday and it all fits.

I didn't let on before but the friend I am doing this is for is in her late 60's and crippled with rheumatoid arthritis. She is a spinster with obviously no children. She was the only one. Her mother and father were only children, so she feels she has no family. This has meant the world to her, especially having someone with standing in her family however distant. I didn't say this before because I didn't want to appear as though it was a sob story.

Any further info would be of real interest to her. However small it may seem. From Colins links I have pulled off some Times newspaper stories about him for her to look at.
