Thanks Jan. As I said, it does seem to be her but I would be a lot happier if I could have found a marriage. No firm proof. :-(

I agree - have tried every which way and no sign. There is no evidence of Charles marrying anyone with these first names, Bailey or otherwise! Likewise birth of daughter.
I wonder if Kathleen/Joyce was born in USA or Canada? Does it say on census?

I think it was Canada. It says Canada English as opposed, I assume, to Canada French.

Hey ,

Ive looked as well and cant find anything, but the thing is if that was the charlotte then she would have been on an 1911 census but l couldnt find her on one of those either.

No she seems to have disappeared in 1911. I think this is her going to Canada with her sister in law.

Hi

Having looked at this in more detail, l have noticed that you say she was a Canadian citizen, however she was born in England, so how could she have been a Canadian citizen?
Also why would they have been separated on the ship as well, surely if they were going over as a family they would have accompanied each other.

Hello Elaine, she could have been a Canadian citizen by marriage or residency.

What do you mean by them being separated on the ship? All it shows is a separate record for each person - the passenger records show individual names, not block bookings.
