I'm at yet another brick wall. :( Could anybody lend me their eyes and brain for an hour please?

John Obsborne Married Mary Price 15th Dec 1890. He is a groom, No father listed. I have all the info on her family. The witnesses are from her family. I have them on the 1891 and 1901 censuses, from the censuses, 1 says he is from wolverhampton, the other says wood end. The only wood end I can find in wolverhampton is near Wednesfield in case that helps. I need to find him. He isnt John Gibson Osborne born Lichfield kings bromley (he married louisa) and he isn't John Thomas Osborne born Wolverhampton I have found him on later censuses too. I'm assuming MY John wasn't born Osborne as have searched all Osbornes on censuses just in case.

Yes I have tried free bmd and even trawled through the full images for 5 years either side but still no John Osborne.

I've even tried osb* on free bmd and nothing, and theres nothing on the censuses that matches up either.

My line is spelt OSBORNE but I expect it to come up with OSBOURNE, OSBORN or OSBOURN. In fact sometimes its even transcribed as COBURN. ha ha. xx

Nothing for 1890, did they have any second names, and are you sure of spellings??.

Mary price born 1867 in Blym Hill, Newport Shiffnal, Staffordshire. Parents Mary Smith and George Price. Siblings Ernest and Maria (Who was bought up by auntie Emma Smith who married James Hill)

Mary and Johns children, Ada born 1890, Ernest, Robert, Charles and Jessie all registered Newport Shiffnal (sometimes Newport, Newport S or Shiffnal, they are pretty much interchangeable)

Some of the censuses have them at Gnosall Staffordshire.

Im trying to trace John prior to his marriage. 1890 is the 1st mention of him. I cant find a birth or censuses for 71 or 81. I'm just at a complete loss. :( xx

OK but what are you looking for? I dont understand, you have all the info.

there are 100s of John Osbournes born 1880s /90s, you need to know where he was born.

I cant find John on the 1871 or 1881 censuses and there is no John Osborne born that matches the info that isn't discountable.

The only Wood End in Wolverhampton is Wednesfield. The only John Osborne born Wolverhampton is John Thomas Osborne. Its not him as I have followed him through to 1901. Sorry if It sounds a little confused.

I'm off to bed now but if anyone comes up with a miracle I shall be checking back tommorow around lunchtime. :D xx
