Find Ancestors

I also need to know if Victoria and Harry Down appear in the 1891 census and 1911. As i cannot find them this may mean they are the same family with mistakes in the taking down of deatails in 1 or all 3. I can not find them is there any one out there who can.

I think they are the same family but I understand your reservations.

Perhaps Victoria was Harry's pet name for his wife & your grandmother was always told she was named after her. I was named for my mother's pet name.

I have now spoken to my aged Uncle and he says he knew Mary Ann was His Nan. But did not know where Granddad came from as he did not remember an accent. I am still looking. If you con help let me know. John

Thanks for looking, But according to 1911 Census they had been married 22 years and Ada their Eldest was was born in 1893. Iam trying myself but it is hard work and as I have said previously this has become a long time search. John

I have been searching for wedding of Mary Ann Cooper and Henry Down in or around 1889. I have also been looking for Marraige of Harry Down and Victoria which must have bee the same time. If you can help with this I would much appriciate it. John ( I have to take kids to bed now will look again later).

John, you've made an exhaustive search. Other people have looked also & nobody can come up with an answer.

I think you have to move on to another branch & let this one lie low for a while.
