trying to find Harriet Lambeth on 1871 +1881 census (I have found her on later census when she is under her married name but cannot find her in 71 + 81)
according to the later census she was born c1866 in Hounslow Middlesex or Southall, Middlesex - depending on which one you read!

found her on birth index 1868 jan/feb/mar greater london, middlesex..........just not on census!!

Who did she marry Stephen? Is this the birth?

she married charles dallamore in 1884 kensington...........sorry for the delay

I can only assume that is the birth but Hackney is 16miles from Southall and Hounslow.....what worries me is that there are several people called Harriet Lambert - which sort of sounds the same

I got Harriets marriage cert back today (marriage 1884). It has her as 21 yrs old, father Harry Lambeth - Carman (deceased). Can anyone help me find a death record for Harry. And any help finding them on the census (pre Harriets marriage) would be great.
I am a little confused by the age on the MC - according to the 1891 census she is 24, on 1901 census she is 36. I had assumed the birth record in this thread was correct but now I am having my doubts because of the age difference. Any help finding her as a child would be really appreciated

There is a Harry J Lambeth in 1881 b 1836 Mile End BUT he is a Firewood Dealer. I suspect that the Hackney birth for Harriet is from this fa,mily but she is not with them 1881 and I cant find her even just using first name and flexible year and place of birth
If this is not her famiily and her father had died before 1881 her mother could have married again and children taken his name

On Harriets MC it has her age as being 21 (marriage in 1884) which means she was born c1863.........this is 5yrs from the only birth record I can find of 1868

But it was not uncommmon for brides to state they were 21 or over to avoid the necessity for parental consent, so I wouldnt take that as gospel without further confirmation

so I got back the 1868 harriet lambeth BC - this is the wrong one as we know from her MC that her father was harry (deceased) ..........this one was Robert OH NO!!!
So can anyone help me find a birth record for Harriet going on her MC being 21 in 1884................plus I still cannot find a death record for her father Harry Lambeth............or can anyone find a marriage for a Harry Lambeth around the time of harriets birth............please help!

THE ONLY BIRTH RECORD I CAN FIND IS 1868 - BUT I HAVE ORDERED THIS AND THE FATHER IS NOT HARRY

SO I NEED TO FIND;

1) HARRIETS BIRTH RECORD
2) HARRY LAMBETHS DEATH RECORD
3) HARRIET ON 1871 +1881 CENSUS

can anyone read the 1891 census for me........has Harriet as born Tonthill? where is that!!!!!!!!

would it be possible that Lambeth could also be Lambert on a birth/death record - I know any name is possiible on the census!!

does anyone new fancy trying to help me out on this one.....I need some new inspiration!.........and I'm very very stuck!!! I know I keep posting but I really need someone to try to help me!!!
