The William Pyefinch on the 1851 census with John Jordan and Ann is listed as John Jordan's step-son.

So, I think it follows that if John Jordan married Ann Pyefinch in 1843 then he is her son by her first marriage to John Pyefinch which is shown on the 1841 census you have put on the thread.

If you look again at the 1861 census I posted you will see a Sarah Palmer listed there as Ann Jordan's daughter - this is likely to be the Sarah Pyefinch from the 1841 census who went on to marry Edwin Palmer.

So, Sarah Pyefinch would have been John Jordan's step daughter.

ok.........so if we are saying John + Ann PYEFINCH were together on 1841 census and she went on to marry John Jordan in 1843..........I cannot find a death of JOhn Pyefinch between 1841-1843

Have you checked for mistranscription - looked with the phonetic search on?

When I went to the original to check the handwriting this was a typewritten transcript. Now, I'm pretty sure they didn't have typewriters in 1843 so there's a possibility there has been a transcription error between the original and the typewritten entry. Plus you have to allow for errors at the time of the original registration.

Just a thought.....

well, it looks like the Ann (pyefinch + then Jordan) was originally Ann Grubb b1811 ludlow to parents William and Mary Grubb.........alas I cannot find their marriage

Look up search for William TYEFINSH
under his name is a correction, click on that and it will show correctors comments and name.
Probably the same is valid for search trees.

I went back to correct it and found it had already been done !
