From what I am reading it is up to 1000 credits per month so if a 6 month sub then 6000 credits. Also works out at say 12 pence per credit? So not such bad value for money.

Now, if you start doing lookups for anyone that asks on the boards then you will run out very quickly. So, until it comes as a package with FMP or Ancestry, I will not be looking for others.

You're all doing sums based on the CURRENT 1000 limit. The email received by Amokavid says they are "reviewing this limit" (note, reviewing the limit, not number of credits per image/transcription).
As the current limit is 1000 and earlier censuses are at a rate of 3 units per image rather than 30 for 1911, to keep the current ratio they would need to set the limit to around 10,000 (!!!) I tend to think that somewhere inbetween those two figures is more likely. Either way, it should mean a better deal than currently.

I never intended to insult anyone on here. I was talking in general about how we are getting charged alot.. Ancestry did the same thing when i renewed my subscription. I had to pay more for less.

And I am fully aware the 1911 census having far more info than all other census reports especially how many children they had and lost..

Nobody needed to take what I said personally.

I am the worst for getting over excited of finding new rellies.

Has anyone noticed, when a request goes up for a search of the 1911 census, that when they are informed it is free to search, they rarely answer on the thread.

So, what is expected? You pay for their search for them?
